When Zoë came out as non-binary, they did not fully know what the term meant, only that it felt like a step in the right direction. Non-binary gender labels are difficult to understand for many (including non-binary people), and gender is frequently a sensitive topic of discussion. So, rather than avoiding it, let’s create a space to educate and talk about being non-binary.
Join Zoë as they discuss gender, address common misconceptions, and explore music made by queer artists. Why do we choose to label, even when the labels denote a lack thereof? What is the difference between non-binary as an umbrella term and as a gender marker? How does intersectionality play into deviation from the gender binary? Join us each week as we tackle these questions.
